As a industry professional you can sign up as a venue or professional, with your account you can contact the artists to network or provide feedback, ask questions, etc.

Every week the DYT team comes together to discuss the featured videos. Our team consists of regular users and industry insiders. We then discuss and give our opinion about the videos that we like and what we feel have potential. Then our technical guys put them up as the featured video

How do I upload a video on Dropyourtalent.com?
A:
Once you've finished recording and editing your video, made sure it's less than 10 minutes, smaller than 1GB in size, and in the acceptable formats (see below),
you are ready to upload your video.
Step 1 - You must be logged in to your DYT account in order to upload your video. If you do not have an account then click here to sign up.
Step 2 Once you are logged in, click the Upload button on the top left side next to the home button.
Step 3 - Fill in the title, description and tags for your video. Tags are brief notes describing the file (ie; pop music, hip-hop, dancing, etc.). Then select the category you want to upload your video under.
Step 4 - Press Submit
Step 5 - Click the "Browse" button to browse for the video file you'd like to upload to our site. Select the file you want to upload.
Step 6 - Click the 'Upload' button to start the uploading process.
Please note: It can take anywhere from a few seconds to 2 minutes for your video to upload to DropYourtalent.com. If you have received an error message during the uploading process, you may want to make sure you're attempting to upload a file that's recognized by Dropyourtalent.com (see below).

What kind of video format can I upload?
A:
Dropyourtalent.com accepts a wide range of video file formats. The accepted formats are listed below for your information. Please note: Some video formats work better than others and are more compatible with certain computers, software or devices.

- .MP4 (ipod/psp)
- .MPEG
- .FLV (adobe flash)
- .SWF (shockwave flash)
- .MKV (h.264)
If you do not think your current video file format is recognized by DropYourtalent.com, you may get the best results from converting your file to MPEG4 video with MP3 audio.
Please note: Your video must meet our uploading requirements or it will not be accepted. Videos shall be no larger than 1GB and no more than 10 minutes in length. If your video does not meet these requirements you will need to re-edit the video file on your computer then upload the new file.
If your format is recognized, but you are experiencing other issues with format errors, feel free to contact us and we will do our best to fix it.

Why was my video deleted?
A:
If your video was removed, it was because your video is either offensive, not working properly, or it violates our Terms and Conditions. Please remember that all pornographic and copyrighted material is strictly prohibited and will be promptly removed upon discovery.

Why does my YouTube video (YouTube uploader) not work?
A:
In the event that the DYT YouTube grabber does not work, your video will not play and will have a duration time of 0.0 minutes.
To fix this problem, please download your YouTube video using one of these sites and proceed to upload your videos the normal way.

I need more support, what should I do?
A:
If you need answers on another subject concerning DropYourTalent.com, please visit the contact page and fill in the subject as Support. Briefly describe what the issue is and we will attempt to resolve it as soon as possible.

How do I edit my profile?
A:
To edit your profile information, log in to your DYT account and press the My Profile link at the top right section of the page. This will take you to the section where you can edit your profile information
Q:
I've forgotten my password. What should I do?
A:
No problem. Just click the Forgot Your Password? link on the homepage (located under the yellow log-in button on the right side of the page). Type in the e-mail address you originally signed up with and follow the instructions.
Q:
How do I change my username?
A:
Unfortunately we do not allow users to change their username. Please take this into consideration when creating your account. In the worst case, you can always delete your account and create a new account. Please keep in mind you will lose any files associated with the old account and will have to upload all your files to the new account.
Q:
How do I delete my account?
A:
To delete your account just go to the contact page. Fill in the subject as general and type in the message section Please delete my account along with your user name and a reason stating why and your account will be deleted.
Q:
I didn't get my registration email. / I was not able to register!
A:
To complete registration and activate your Dropyourtalent.com account you will need to click the activation link provided in the email. If you did that and received nothing, please check your spam/bulk folder with your email provider. If the registration email is not there, you must go to the contact page and fill in the as subject support and in the message section type I received no email verification. Your account will be re-activated and a new registration email will be generated and sent to you.
Q:
How do I make friends on Dropyourtalent.com?
A:
To make friends at Dropyourtalent.com just go to the profile of any user you would like to be friends with and press the Add Friends link under the My Message section. This will take you to a new page where you will have the opportunity to choose either the default message or create your own personalized message. Press Invite and that user will then get a e-mail and can accept your invitation.
