Internships
The internship program of DYT is designed to give college students an opportunity to complement their formal education with career-related experience in a challenging, creative and professional environment. Required time commitment: 16-24 hours a week (ideally 3 full days though there is some flexibility) for three to six months.
Internships are available in the following departments:
• Editorial
• Internet Advertising/Marketing
• PHP Porgramming
• Multimedia
• Street Promotion
Ideal candidates possess:
• Strong grasp of current events and pop culture trends
• Interest in a fast-paced news environment
• Vast knowledge of entertainment blogs and national news blogs
• Experience working on a school newspaper, magazine, Website, blog, TV show, films, etc.
• Internet savvy (surf the web with ease, know the best sites)
• A passion for all things entertainment
• The ability to multi-task
• Flexible schedule must be available to work full-time 2-3 days per week.
*Because our internships are unpaid, we encourage students to look into/arrange to receive college credit for their participation in an internship prior to applying. Please contact us regarding the ONE area of interest for which you’d like to be considered. Allow 2-4 weeks to receive a response.
INTERNET ADVERTISING/MARKETING INTERNSHIP
We are seeking a HIGHLY motivated and results-driven intern who will thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a “roll up the sleeves” marketer to take their career to the next level. Interns will be promoting DropYourTalent on other major social sites and across the internet. They will have the opportunity to participate in creative projects and brainstorming sessions for promotional campaigns, blogs, co-marketing opportunities, online advertising, branding opportunities, and more. PHP PROGRAMMER INTERNSHIP
We are looking for talented, experienced PHP Programmers to join DropYourTalent LLC. Candidate will help code our official websites, widgets, applications, online advertising rich media campaign units, internal database-driven sites and all other new media oriented projects.
Requirements
• Should have a strong background with: PHP, MySQL, JavaScript/AJAX, HTML, and CSS
• Should be able to write efficient queries and optimize database-intensive application
• Must be able to understand and use development frameworks
• Must be able to follow in-house programming standards
• Must be able to work as part of a team. Must have excellent communication and analytical capabilities.
• Other knowledge such as .NET, MSSQL, Ruby, Perl and Linux are a plus

ONLINE A&R/TALENT SCOUT
As an online A&R/Talent Scout you will surf the internet looking for the best and most fresh talent to join DropYourTalent.com. This position requires you to find talented people and have them sign up and upload videos to the site. You may also have to create accounts and upload videos for the less savvy computer users. You must have working knowledge in uploading video to the internet.
As an A&R you must have a feeling of what’s hot and what’s not, as you will be looking for the potential stars of tomorrow! You will also be on the panel of A&R’s and will be responsible for helping us choose the talent we feature, spotlight and interview.

EXECUTIVE EDITOR INTERNSHIP
Interns will have the opportunity to write articles for the DYT blog. Tasks also include: compiling entertainment news and reporting on trends; transcribing artist interviews. Attend our Talent Showcases and write reports about them. Interns must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be a self-starter and be able to articulate clearly, verbally and in written form. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of the entertainment industry. Journalism majors preferred.

STREET TEAM
We are seeking HIGHLY motivated people to be a part of our street promotion team. You will be assigned different locations (depending on your area) and be given flyers, posters, stickers, etc. to hand out, post and leave at various events and/or our talent showcases. This is a fun, entry-level position for those wanting to break into the entertainment industry.
